New Delhi: Indian Union Minister for Railways Mamta Banerjee on Friday presented the Indian Railway Budget-2009 for the year 2009-10. She is the first female Railway Minister in Indian history. After being in hands of former Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav, this time this ministry came in hands of Trinamool Congress (TMC) Supremo Mamata Banerjee who promised to serve her best for it. She is supporting Manmohan Singh led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) after an emphatic win in West bengal. As expected, Mamata presented a passenger friendly rail budget in against of ministry’s profit. Many new schemes along with new railway routes and trains are also introduced in this Railway Budget 2009.
