Cricket Australia has given all rounder Andrew Symonds, Bret Lee, David hussy the green signal to play in the final stages of Indian Premier League. Other Australian players like James Hopes, Shane Watson and Nathen Bracken have failed to clear fitness test. They were asked to stand down by the Australian Cricket board.

Absence of Shane Watson, IPL 2008 player of the tournament is a huge set back for defending champions Rajasthan Royals .Watson suffered a mild groin injury in a Twenty20 international against Pakistan. Symonds (Deccan Chargers) and Lee (Kings XI Punjab) are set to challenge each other on tomorrow’s showdown between Decan chargers and Kings 11 at Kimberly.

Symonds and Lee returned to Australian team after four months in the one-off Twenty20 International against Pakistan here, and Hussey (Kolkata Knight Riders) were cleared to fly to South Africa immediately after the match. Knight Riders, reeling at bottom of the table, would get huge boost with the return of their most consistent player of last season. Hussey will be available for Knight Riders' match against Delhi Daredevils in Johannesburg.
